Leisha Joy Harvey, aka " Leisha J is one of the most anomalous saxophonist on the jazz scene today. Born and raised in the upstate of South Carolina," Leisha J is able to induce her style to any venue prevalently. Leisha's musical instructions began at the age of three studying Suzuki Method piano from the Yamaha School of Music. She started playing the saxophone at the age of twelve and performing while attending high school. In 1999 she earned a BA in music from Brevard College in Brevard, NC. Leisha has performed throughout the southeast region at many venues and festivals. Her mellifluous riffs on the soprano, alto, and tenor, adds ear candy to any genre of music. From Jazz to Smooth Jazz, Blues to Rhythm & Blues, and from Easy Listening to Gospel, Leisha J enthralls audiences with every performance.
